Job Summary
The Materials Planner collaborates with materials planning and project teams to manage the transfer of production stock to project warehouses. This role involves tracking inventory using ERP systems and Excel, with additional tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely collection, identification, and delivery of parts to Points of Use (POU), with proper documentation in ERP and trackers.
- Report and prioritize known shortages, developing plans to meet downstream customer needs.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery of materials per the build schedule.
- Respond immediately to shortages and replacement needs.
- Communicate and enforce material stocking standards in the assigned area.
- Maintain readiness for supply chain quality audits.
- Manage shortage reports, acting as a liaison between Materials Management, Procurement, and project teams.
- Escalate shortage issues and provide updates during team meetings.
- Analyze closed work orders to manage parts issuance.
- Ensure data accuracy in the ERP system.
- Provide weekly performance metrics to the program lead.
Qualifications
- Experience with purchasing, MRP/ERP systems, and MS Office.
- Strong record-keeping and reporting skills, with attention to detail in part identification and transaction accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication skills.
